This is the last work in progress shot I will be uploading! I am so excited for this to be finished! *-*
This is the last piece in a series called ‘Siblinghood’ for my story.

This is the last piece in a series called ‘Siblinghood’ for my story.
“Don’t be foolish. Everyone knows that mermaids can’t drown.”
Nina Claret from my story, Heaven Module.
Lucas Roland
“Pardon me, I really didn’t mean any trouble…”
A boy mutters, eyes averted and head slightly bowed. He combs his fingers nervously through his bright, russet hair.
Character stuff I might use later
Lucas Roland is the older brother of Meriko Roland. They live in a small rented room in a poor area of Victorian London. The two of them have drifted from one place to the next for as long as either can remember. He spends a great deal of time trying to find permanent work, often taking up odd-end jobs.
He tends to be extremely withdrawn and nervous. In the face of any conflict, he prefers to deflect the aggressor with a meek smile as the flees the scene. This causes a great deal of tension between him and his sister, who happens to be impulsive and conflict prone. He finds her wild imagination and brash personality irksome. He wants nothing more than peace and appreciation, at the sake of all else.
Lucas holds principles over practicality. He most desires to lead a “good, respectable life,” whatever he believes that to mean. For the moment, he is keen on the prospect of pursuing a girl by the name of Adelaide Jameson. Adelaide is the only daughter of moderately wealthy merchants. Sweet tempered, mild mannered, and agreeable, she is exemplary of a desirable lady. A successful union with this fragile violet would potentially change his life.
It initially seems that his social status would thwart any chances he might have. Would a well-to-do merchant throw their sole daughter to the likes of an orphan?
Meriko Roland
“If there’s something so wrong with it, why don’t you stop me?”
This is my main character for an ongoing story project. Her name is Meriko Roland. She is a street urchin living with her brother in Victorian London. She is a clever, albeit very strange girl, especially for her times. Despite living in a world with strict gender roles and expectations, she sports a masculine appearance and demeanor. Life on the streets has honed her pickpocket skills, earning her quite a reputation the Holbourn alley dwellers.
The plot of Heaven Module surrounds her and her seemingly commonplace troubles as a waif. She leads a fast paced and morally questionable lifestyle, always living in the moment. This causes strain on her relationship with her brother, Lucas, seeing as how her sibling is quite the opposite.
The trouble always seems to arise when Meriko stirs up too much excitement. She certainly has a knack for mischief. Lucas on the other hand, is a very reserved, meek individual who dislikes conflict. It would seem that this contrast in dispositions is the root of all their discord. However, no matter where the arguments start, they always seem to end on the same thing, a very peculiar thing that happened a long time ago.
In fact, neither of them quite remember what actually happened. It’s always a game of pointing fingers through hazy recollections.
“Lucas! You promised you’d come back!”
A story unfolds upon a foggy memory involving an doctor, a girl in purple, and a strange place with long hallways and barred windows.
This is a commission I did sometime last school year for my friend’s novel. It is an alternate universe fiction story about perceptions and free will. The character’s name is Tatiana Nabakovna.
Overall, the theme was supposed to be diesel punk with a some art-deco elements. My favorite part of this image is actually the sky.
This is from my last art session with Saffro. (We need to hang out again!) She did a quick doodle and I colored it. =^-^=
“Everything seems innocent when you don’t remember the whole story.”
This is the first image in a series of siblinghood illustrations for my story project. I completed this CG last summer.
This image depicts my main character Meriko Roland and her brother Lucas as children.
This is a random doodle I did in PaintSai forever ago. Something about it makes me grin deviously, I have no idea why. Enjoy.
