This was initially just a doodle done in Sai to test a pencil brush setting. However, it turned out looking a lot like Dominik from Suicide Room. I just watched that movie last night. I cried so hard.
This is a chibi doodle for the cast of my new short story. It’s called “Regent_Orion,” and the title probably won’t make any sense until you read it. So far, only the main character is colored. The rest will be later.
Mell (Melody) Radcliffe: She’s the only daughter of the district attorney and a history professor who teaches at the state university. At sixteen years old, she attends Falcon Vista High, a local public school. Her parents sent her to public school to ensure she would be “properly socialized.” (They’re the well meaning sort of folks who read too many child psychology books.) Despite this, she has spent most of her summers at camps and prep academies. Mell is clever but often bored and disgruntled. She has many quirky hobbies such as drawing and botany. When not caught up with school, she often gardens. In recent days, she’s taken on a closet gaming addiction. Overall, she is a feisty and sarcastic teen who’s trying to find her niche. And despite being somewhat of a misfit herself, she can be elitist and self centered at times.
Vivienne Westenra: Vivienne is a spoiled and finicky girl. She drives a black Mercedes and her greatest passion is fashion. Her father being the vice president of a investment firm allows her to indulge in her favorite past time of shopping. She is a senior at St. Gabriel’s Prep Academy, a catholic private school. Aside from fashion, she also has a big interest in politics and international relations. Though, this is something that she doesn’t often express due to her father’s dismissive attitude. Both her mother and father find her charged political interest to be silly and unfitting. Overall, Vivienne behaves in a humorously egocentric manner. She has a great eye for aesthetics and will often criticize how others are dressed.
Jack Schmitz: Jack Schmitz is a fifth senior at Maple Creek High School. He tends to think highly of himself and behaves in an aggressive manner. Currently, he works at the local GamerHub and can be described as, “that guy.” Every store always has one of these employees, the guy who is always late, takes extra breaks, yet somehow manages to not get fired by sucking up to the manager. His parents kicked him out of the house a year ago and now lives with four other roommates in an apartment. In addition to GamerHub, he works at a juicebar. This is because the managers at the GamerHub try to depend on him as little as possible due to his nature. In fact, he would probably have been fired if not for his sycophant tendencies—and the fact that the gaming store is so short handed they can’t afford to fire him.
James Adler: James is typically a rather quiet boy at school. He really just tries to stay out everyone’s way. Despite this, he has a habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Currently, he works at the GamerHub. His job is more or less the the lackey that picks up after everyone else’s incompetence. He absolutely despises his co-worker Jack Schmitz for his lazy and obnoxious personality. James also attends Falcon Vista High, but is considered a nobody by most of his classmates. Surprisingly, despite his obscure and seemingly passive identity, James is quite witty. He’s actually quite the smart aleck in the right circumstances (such as when challenged on the topic of gaming). In general, he’s reserved and speaks little about himself. Therefore, others know little of his personal life or troubles.
Keegan Braxton: Keegan is the big man on campus at St. Gabriel Prep. He is captain of the boy’s lacrosse team, and an honorary member of the Junior Entrepreneurs Association. On top of that, his father is the CFO of a large chain of loan companies. He has a diplomatic and charming disposition which makes him popular among his peers at St. Gabriel’s. His interests are lacrosse and economics. Despite typically concealing it, he is extremely judgmental of others. This trait causes him to be a bully to those he feels are below him, which are a many people. Though, he treats those in his favor extremely well, often extending his own privileges and support.

Here’s another one :D I will be making shrinky dinks out of all the chibi sets and mailing them to special people.
Sorry about the lack of updates. Finals are just around the corner, so I’ve been busy with studying. Yeah. Let’s go with that.
Anyhow, this is a self portrait (albeit, not a very good one.) The theme as you can probably guess is about finding the silver lining on every cloud, or in my case, painting them on. I may or may not actually end up finishing this, but I thought I’d post the doodle.
Someone said something about taking a chance on good things…so this is my take on it.
This is from my last art session with Saffro. (We need to hang out again!) She did a quick doodle and I colored it. =^-^=
